Dermanude Skin Clinic Altrincham

At Dermanude we always assess your skin on the day of treatment, we will never recommend a procedure if we don’t feel its absolutely necessary. We get a lot of clients, especially those with darker skin types & more hair growth in the treatment area, requesting dermaplaning. This isn’t a treatment we offer as a standalone, rather it is part of the bespoke skin treatment package. We do this because we find that dermaplaning alone is simply not enough to allow you to reach your skincare goals. The combination of different modalities allows us to comprehensively treat your skin.

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation treatment using a carefully angled surgical 10 gauge scalpel to gently remove dead skin cells, vellus hair (also known as peach fuzz) and other debris on the surface of the skin for a smoother, more radiant complexion.

What to expect:

  • Removes dead skin cells
  • Rids the skin of Vellus hair
  • Helps to unblock pores
  • Creates healthier, smoother more radiant skin
  • Can improve uneven skin texture
  • Allows greater penetration for skin care products
  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Active Acne
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Rosacea
  • Inflamed or sensitive skin

You should know...

Whilst we do offer this treatment, please be aware that you will be advised by your skin therapist what is most appropriate on the day. A lot of the time if a client has a Dermaplane in mind, it may not actually be the most suitable modality for them and their skin. Dermaplaining in our opinion is for a very specific type of client.
